Woman seriously injured in Ozark County crash

Emergency crews responded to a serious crash Thursday afternoon in Ozark County that left one woman hospitalized with significant injuries. The accident occurred around 4 p.m. yesterday along Country Club Drive, approximately three miles east of Theodosia. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2008 Toyota Highlander was traveling southbound when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree. The driver, an adult female from Chaffee, Missouri, suffered serious injuries in the crash; however, authorities say she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. She was transported by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
