The Howell County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to a residence in West Plains on Saturday following a 911 call in which the female caller reported an active domestic situation.  The primary victim told authorities that the altercation began during an argument in which she refused to engage in sexual activity with the suspect, identified as Marcus Clayburn Hamm. The victim further reported that Hamm then entered the room of their child, where she witnessed him violently shaking the child and throwing the child into a crib. A third individual also said that Hamm grabbed and twisted their arm during the incident. Hamm has been charged with two counts of third-degree assault and abuse or neglect of a child.
