One of three men accused of murder in 1989 in Douglas County had his plea deal rejected by a Judge.
Bobby Banks is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Kellie Ann Workman in 1989. Leonard Banks pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and is serving 15 years in prison. A third man, Wiley Belt, is expected to return to court later this month. He faces first-degree murder and rape charges.
Workman’s body was later found in Christian County. She was 25 years old. Deputies arrested all three of the men for her death in February of 2024.
