An Independence County man who was involved in a high speed chase at speeds over 100 m.p.h. had a child in the vehicle with him and now faces 12 charges. 32 year old Eric Henderson Blake ran from police who tried to stop him on highway 167. Blake had previous charges from an earlier incident. When he was finally stopped Blake’s father, Loyd Blake took a 1 year old female from the vehicle and Blake fled on foot. Blake is charged with two felonies for possession of a firearm by a certain person and fleeing. He is also charged with driving while suspended driver’s license, endangering the welfare of a minor, no proof of liability insurance, fictitious tags, failure to yield at a stop sign, driving left of center and failure to pay a registration fee.
