
Cardinals fall to the Yankees in first game of series
The Yankees struck first in the opening inning as Jasson Dominguez singled in a run and JJ Chisholm Jr hit a two-run homer to put the Yankees up 3-0. As the game continued, the Cardinals fought back. Masyn Winn delivered a big RBI double in the sixth, and Andre Pallante tossed five innings, giving up four earned runs and six hits. No matter how hard the Cardinals fought, the Yankees beat them 4-3. The Cardinals will send righty Sonny Gray to the mound tonight.
Royals claimed a victory over the White Sox last night
Noah Cameron delivered a solid performance into the sixth inning, while Salvador Perez hit the game-changing go-ahead home run. The bullpen, led by John Schreiber, Angel Zerpa, Lucas Erceg, and Carlos Estévez, shut the door with 3⅔ scoreless innings. Estévez struck out the side in the ninth, earning his 31st save. The Royals will send right Michael Lorenzen to the hill tonight.
