An Izard County man has been arrested for allegedly firing a gun inside a residence. 26 year old Jonathan Johnston was arrested after his father call and reported that Johnston was intoxicated and discharged a firearm inside a residence. Johnston is charged with felony possession of firearms by certain persons, meaning he is a convicted felon. Johnston was convicted in 2017 for domestic battery, he was on probation. The incident happened at a residence on Larkin Road between Violet Hill and Melbourne.
