
On Monday Officer Stephen Bryant for the Thayer Police Department received Information on the location of Fugitive out of the Oregon County Courts. Once the location was confirmed, Officer Bryant applied and received a search warrant for the location. Officers from Thayer Police Department and the Oregon County Sheriff’s Office executed the search warrant. Two Subjects were arrested: Morris Allen Jones of Thayer and Teri L. Cox of Thayer. During the search warrant officer located in plain view Suspected methamphetamines, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm. Another search warrant was applied for and granted by the court. Upon execution of the second search warrant officers located more paraphernalia and narcotics along with Equipment and materials used in the manufacturing methamphetamines. The South Central Drug Task force was contacted for processing and disposal of the materials that were used for the manufacturing of methamphetamines.
Mr. Jones received the Follows Charges from the events that occurred on November 26, 2018 they are as follows:
-Manufacture of A Controlled Substance Class C Felony
-Possession of a Controlled Substance Class D Felony
-Unlawful Possession of a Firearm Class D Felony
-Unlawful Use of a Weapon (possess weapon and a felony controlled substance) Class E Felony
-Possession of Methamphetamines Precursors Class E Felony
-Keeping or Maintaining a public Nuisance Class E Felony
-Fugitive Out of State Unclassified Felony
Total Bond of $40,000.
Mr. Jones is Current located in the Oregon County Jail.
Ms. Cox was released from jail with formal charges pending.
