EEO/Public File

It is the policy of E-Communications LLC., Radio Stations KAMS, KALM, KHOM and KBMV to provide equal employment opportunity to all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, national origin or sex in all personnel actions including recruitment, evaluation, selection, promotion, compensation, training and termination.

It is also our policy to promote the realization of equal employment opportunity through positive, continuing programs of specific practices designed to insure the full realization of equal employment opportunity without regard to race, color, religion, national origin or sex.

To make this policy effective, and to ensure conformance with the rules and regulations of the Federal Communications Commission, we have adopted an Equal Employment Opportunity Program, which was instated effective March 10, 2003.  A full description of pertinent job openings and recruitment procedures may be found in our public file.

For the period October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024, KAMS/KALM/KHOM/KBMV hired one full-time employee. The morning show talent “Coleman Smith” quit, leaving us without a morning show host.  This was an exigent circumstance for the company, as we filled this position a year ago.  We reviewed the previous applications we had on file during the last hire. During that recruiting period we reached out extensively to find a suitable candidate. There was no one qualified, except for Coleman Smith whom we hired.  Since that full time hire in March of 2023, we then hired a part time person in February of 2024 by the name of Richard Cason who had a lot of broadcast experience.  When Coleman Smith quit, we then promoted Richard to that full time morning show position. It was without question, an emergency situation as we had no one else to fill that critical time slot to stay local and provide local information.   Richard Cason started full time in June 2024.
