A Newton, Iowa, man was seriously injured in a crash Thursday morning, five miles south of South Fork in Howell County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 10:30 a.m. on Highway E when a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the path of a 2012 Yamaha motorcycle. The 42-year-old motorcycle rider was transported by air ambulance to Cox South Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Dodge Caravan, a 40-year-old man from Viola, Arkansas, was not reported injured. Both vehicles were totaled in the crash.
