
According to their report, James Stewart was under investigation by the South Central Drug Task Force for alleged narcotics trafficking. He was stopped on Friday near Willow Springs. During the stop, K-9 Flash alerted to the presence of narcotics. Deputies searched his vehicle and found a used glass pipe containing residue consistent with methamphetamine use, along with approximately four ounces of a suspected methamphetamine substance concealed beneath the dashboard near the steering column. The narcotics and paraphernalia were seized as evidence, and Stewart was placed under arrest without incident. Stewart was transported to the Howell County Jail, where he was booked on drug trafficking charges. He is currently being held on a $100,000 bond as well as a No Bond detainer for a Parole Violation.
