The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has released details regarding the arrest of two individuals following a vehicle crash and short pursuit on Wednesday afternoon. Sheriff Chris Degase reports the incident began around 1 p.m. near Skyline School, prompting a brief lockdown after a male suspect fled the scene on foot. Deputies located a female occupant, identified as 21-year-old Jewlie Waterworth of Lebanon, inside the vehicle in an intoxicated state. The male suspect, 38-year-old Bryan Arnold of Lebanon, was later located through community assistance and the deployment of multiple K9 units. Authorities say Arnold fled due to having active arrest warrants out of Arkansas. Arnold now faces charges of Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident, Resisting Arrest, and Unlawful Possession of an Illegal Weapon (Brass Knuckles). His bond was set at $50,000 cash only. Waterworth was charged with Hindering Prosecution and Resisting Arrest, with a bond set at $1,500 cash only.
