The U.S. Geological Survey reports that the first earthquake occurred at 5:09 a.m. and had a magnitude of 2.3, centered about seven miles northeast of Salem. The second Earthquake was a 1.9 magnitude at around 5:15 am in the same area. No injuries or damage were reported with the quakes.
