MSU QB Jacob Clark named honorable mention National Player of the Week

TYLER, Texas — For the third time this season, Missouri State quarterback Jacob Clark (Sr., Rockwall, Texas) was honored as an honorable mention selection Tuesday on the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week.

Clark engineered three touchdown drives in Missouri State’s last four possessions Saturday to lift the Bears to a thrilling, 21-17, come-from-behind win at Liberty. Clark was 4-for-4 on MSU’s game-winning drive, covering 70 yards in just a minute before putting the visitors ahead for good with 27 seconds remaining. It marked the third time this season he has led MoState’s game-winning drive in the fourth quarter or overtime. Against Liberty, he finished with a 153.4 pass efficiency, completing 20-for-33 passes for 286 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while rushing for another go-ahead score earlier in the fourth quarter.
