The Howell County Sheriff’s Office has provided an update on the homicide investigation of Ira Briscoe and Limon Little. Sheriff Matt Roberts requested help from the FBI Laboratory back in April 2025, asking them to analyze evidence found with the victims’ remains. After months of communication and follow-up including reaching out to Congressman Jason Smith’s office the FBI officially declined to take the case on November 6, marking the second time they have refused to assist. Despite this, the Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is still active, and they are carefully pursuing every lead to build a strong case that can lead to prosecution and justice for the victims.
