Marion County Sheriff’s Office looking person of interest in a death investigation

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a Yellville woman. The woman was reported missing on Thursday. Then on Friday, a family member contacted the Sheriff’s Office and said that the woman’s body had been found. The woman’s name has not been released. An autopsy will be done to determine the manner and cause of death. The woman’s vehicle was also reported missing.  The vehicle is described as a 1999 Chevrolet 4-door Malibu, maroon in color, with an Arkansas license plate AWG-63J. Sheriff Alexander stated that investigators have identified a person of interest they would like to interview regarding the victim’s death. The person of interest is JIMMY JAY LIVERETT (white male, DOB: 03/25/76). LIVERETT had lived with the victim prior to the discovery of the body. The investigation is ongoing, and Sheriff Alexander has asked anyone with information that may be related to this incident to contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office at 870.449.4236.
