Tuesday morning, around 11, an inmate escaped while being transferred. The Deputy was taken to the Hospital and later released after X-rays and a CT scan came back good. The escaped inmate and the person who aided his escape were apprehended after a short vehicle pursuit. The West Plains Police are investigating the incident, and at this time, no names have been released.
