Missouri hunters top 158,000 deer harvested in November firearms season

The November portion of Missouri’s firearms deer season has come to a close, and hunters once again delivered strong numbers across the state. According to new statewide data, a total of 158,712 deer were harvested before the season ended on Tuesday. Franklin County led the way with 3,609 deer harvested, followed by Texas County with 3,045, and Howell County rounding out the top three with 2,974. Of the total deer checked:

  • 90,440 were antlered bucks
  • 12,266 were button bucks
  • 56,006 were does

This year’s harvest marks a slight increase compared to the same period last year, when 158,577 deer were recorded — 135 fewer than this season. The 2025 November firearms deer season ran from November 15 to November 25, wrapping up another successful year for Missouri hunters.
