Three local injury accidents reported this weekend

A woman from Winona was injured in an accident in Shannon County on Sunday. The Highway Patrol reports that the 79-year-old woman suffered serious injuries when she pulled into the path of another vehicle. She was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The accident happened on Highway 60 at North Highway 19.

 

A Mammoth Spring man was injured in an accident south of West Plains on Saturday. The Highway Patrol reports that the 63-year-old man suffered minor injuries when he drove off the road and hit a guardrail, and then traveled into a ditch. The Highway Patrol also reports that 63-year-old William Stewart was charged with DWI, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway involving an accident, and no seat belt.

 

A Texas County man was seriously injured in an accident in Maries County. The Highway Patrol says the 60-year-old man from Licking was injured when he failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the road, and overturned the car he was driving. The man was flown to University Hospital in Columbia. The accident happened on Highway 63 about a half mile south of Highway P in Maries County.
