Chiefs lose key offensive lineman as season nears

KANSAS CITY, Mo.- Kansas City Chiefs rookie left tackle Josh Simmons will miss an extended period of time again this season.

Head coach Andy Reid announced Wednesday that the Chiefs’ first-round pick is being placed on injured reserve due to a wrist injury suffered in Kansas City’s Week 13 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Simmons suffered a dislocated and fractured left wrist during the third quarter of the game.
