Wreaths Across America Event held in Mountain View

A Wreaths Across America event was held on Saturday at Mountain View, Missouri, at their Veterans Cemetery. It was held in conjunction with the national event that was observed at 11:00 A.M. all across our great nation. The event honors all of the U.S. military veterans who have passed on.

The Mountain View Cemetery is one of six in Missouri, and it has 195 veterans interred from the local community.

The event was sponsored by the Ozarks Spring Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution; Co-Chairs of DAR are Lois Frazier and Cindy Pirch, The Josiah Howell Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution; President Garry Pirch, also VFW post 3009 of Mountain View, Missouri, Commander; Daniel Gof,f and District Chaplain Jay Gould.

The Mountain View Police and Fire Departments escorted the Wreaths to the cemetery.Many other local and state leaders were present and spoke in the ceremony. There were so many that helped and were involved in this event to mention them all. However, they are all very much appreciated just like our Veterans.
