The Highway Patrol reports that a 45-year-old man from Alton was killed, a 38-year-old woman from Alton suffered serious injuries, a 60-year-old man from Ellsinore suffered moderate injuries, and two girls, ages 16 and 15, both from Ellsinore, suffered minor injuries. According to the Patrol report, the accident happened when the woman from Alton made a left turn into the path of a truck driven by a 35-year-old woman from Ellsinore. The accident happened on Highway 60, one mile west of Ellsinore. All the injured were taken to the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
