Starting January 1st, workers minimum wage increases from $13.75 to $15 per hour. The minimum wage has increased annually since 2015, nearly doubling during that period.
State law includes exceptions to the $15 minimum wage. Tipped employees will not receive the full $15 minimum since much of their income comes from tips. Businesses with less than $500,000 in gross income can set their own wages.
