Several injury accidents were reported across southern Missouri this New Year’s Holiday weekend.

Sunday afternoon, a 32-year-old man from Thayer suffered minor injuries when he attempted to make a left turn and was hit by a vehicle driven by a 45-year-old man from Alton. The man from Thayer was taken to Ozarks Healthcare. The accident happened on Highway 19, two miles north of Alton.

Sunday evening, an 18-year-old West Plains male suffered minor injuries when he attempted to pass another vehicle in a curve and struck the other vehicle, then ran off the road, and the vehicle caught fire. The accident happened on Missouri 72, three and a half miles west of Millersville in Cape Girardeau County.

Saturday, a man from Van Buren suffered moderate injuries when another vehicle crossed the road and hit his vehicle. The accident happened on Highway 67, four miles north of Poplar Bluff.

Saturday, a 4-year-old girl from Doniphan suffered minor injuries when the vehicle she was riding in ran off the road and struck a tree. The accident happened on Route U, two miles south of Doniphan.
