Two Ava residents were injured in a single-vehicle crash Thursday evening on County Road 445, approximately four and a half miles southwest of Goodhope. According to the report, a 55-year-old man was driving a 1995 Buick Century with a 44-year-old woman as a passenger when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to cross the roadway, leave the left side, and strike a tree. Both occupants sustained moderate injuries and were transported to Cox South for treatment.
