The Highway Patrol reports the arrest of two Poplar Bluff residents in Howell County. 39-year-old Ashley Henry Thomas and 28-year-old Dante Mendoza are both charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, meth. Thomas is also charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, no seatbelt, no license plate, and a warrant from the Willow Springs Police Department for speeding. Mendoza also faces charges for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and a warrant from Scott County for no valid driver’s license. Both were taken to Howell County jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
