A woman from Doniphan was injured in an accident Sunday morning east of Doniphan. 37 year old Yeawon Lowery suffered serious injuries when 38 year old Robert Lowery drove off the road and hit a fence post, telephone pole and tree, then overturned the SUV he was driving. Yeawon Lowery was flown to St Bernard’s in Jonesboro. Robert Lowery was charged with felony Driving while intoxicated with serious physical injury, no insurance, and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway causing a traffic crash. The accident happened on highway 142 about a mile east of Doniphan around 1:10 Sunday morning.
