Class 5 District 1 Tournament at Cape Girardeau
The West Plains Zizzer boys won their first District Tournament game in several years by beating Hillsboro 66 to 57 in the first round of the Class 5 District 1 Tournament at Cape Girardeau Central High School. Jared Kraft led the way with 24 points, followed by Jacob Moore and Josiah Long with 11 points each. Hillsboro was called for 4 Technical fouls in the 4th quarter and 10 personal fouls for a wild finish. The Zizzer boys will now play Sikeston at 5:30 pm Thursday in the semi-finals. Zizzers are now 12 and 13 on the season.
