Also earning SEC honors by the coaches were Billy Richmond III, who was named to the All-Defensive team, and Meleek Thomas, who was selected for the SEC All-Freshman team.

FAYETTEVILLE – After a career-high, 30-point game to lead Arkansas to a big road win in the regular-season finale, Razorback Meleek Thomas was named SEC Freshman of the Week. Thomas averaged 21.5 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 43.8% from the field, including an impressive 66.7% from 3-point, while shooting 90% from the line in wins over Texas at Missouri.

COLUMBIA MO.– One of the most versatile and productive players in the country, Mark Mitchell, was honored with All-SEC honors on Monday, earning selection to the league’s second team.

On target to be just the second player in school history to lead the team in points, rebounds, and assists in a single campaign, Mitchell has tallied 17.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists as a senior. One of just five players in the nation to have totaled 550 points, 160 rebounds and 110 assists this season, Mitchell is also aiming to be the first Tiger to average 17 points, five boards and three assists in a single season since 1992 Big Eight Player of the Year Anthony Peeler.

DALLAS — Missouri State forwards Keith Palek III (Sr. Woodbine, N.J.) and Michael Osei-Bonsu (Sr., Bolingbrook, Ill.) were both named to the All-Conference USA Men’s Basketball Team on Monday, the league announced.

The pair represents Missouri State’s first-ever all-conference honorees in CUSA. Their honors also mark the first time since the 2021-22 season the Bears have boasted two all-conference players.

Palek, a second-team selection, became the first Missouri State player to post 500 points, 200 rebounds and 100 assists in a season and is currently one of five Division I players to reach those statistical milestones this season.

Osei-Bonsu, a third-team honoree, has scored 768 points in his two seasons at Missouri State, the 17th-best career total for any two-year player in program history. As a senior, he is averaging 14.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game while converting 57.2 percent of his field goal attempts.
