Stacie Hickman pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the Death of David Sutherland in 2023. Sutherland was shot, severely beaten, and had barbed wire around his neck. Hickman allegedly confessed to the murder. The alleged motive was a land dispute. Hickman was sentenced to 31 years in prison by Judge Tim Weaver.
