A man from Birch Tree faces charges after he allegedly attacked his mother while she was driving causing her to wreck. 20 year old Seth Logan Thompson is charged with second degree assault and second degree domestic assault. Thompson’s mother, 50 year old Janetta Depriest of Alton and the driver of another vehicle, 45 year old Daniel Lance of Alton both suffered moderate injuries in the accident.
