The Thayer Bobcats pulled off one of their most dramatic wins of the season Tuesday, rallying from a nine-run deficit to defeat Doniphan 14-12 in a wild road contest.
Trailing 12-4 entering the seventh inning, the Bobcats erupted for 10 runs on seven hits in the top of the frame to complete the stunning comeback.
West Plains Varsity boys took the lead late in the win over Mt. Vernon on Tuesday. The game was tied at six in the top of the seventh when Keenan Holloway grounded out, scoring one run.
The Zizzers were down 6-2 going into the 6th inning. Scored 3 in the 6th to make it a 6-5 game.
The Zizzers captured the lead, 7-6, in the top of the seventh after Camden Bryant doubled to center field, and Holloway grounded out, scoring one run apiece.
Zeke Cunningham got the win on the mound, and Landon Montgomery collected the save. Improving our record to 9-12.
