On Saturday, A Police Officer saw Steven Vantine walking and carrying a backpack. Vantine allegedly attempted to conceal his face and moved behind a building, then reappeared without the backpack. Officers searched the area and found the backpack hidden in the bushes. Inside the backpack was a 9mm pistol and roughly 1,000 rifle primers. Vantine is a felon and is prohibited from possessing a firearm. Vantine was taken to jail and was being held on a $5,000 bond.
