ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The St. Louis Cardinals announced the newest additions to the Cardinals Hall of Fame on Friday evening.

Both Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina were selected for the latest class.

The pair, a staple of the Cardinals organization for years, were voted in by the fans.

The selections are no surprise, as both Pujols and Molina are fan favorites who etched their legacies with the birds on the bat.

Additionally, pitcher Bill Sherdel was selected through the Veteran Era Player group, chosen by the Red Ribbon Committee. Sherdel pitched for St. Louis from 1918 to 1930 and again in 1932.

All three will be inducted into the Cardinals Hall of Fame on Saturday, September 12, inside Busch Stadium as part of a special pregame ceremony before the Cardinals-White Sox game.
