18-year-old Trenton Ross was arrested on Friday, after the Superintendent was told that he might have a handgun on him. Ross was questioned and at first denied it, then admitted to having the gun and told them that he had been given the gun before graduation, but did not have a safe place to put it. Ross is charged with felony possession of a gun on school property. He was taken to the Marion County Detention Center, and bond was set at $75,000
