The City of Houston was one of just a few communities to be awarded funds from the federal highway administration through the Missouri Department of Transportation. Houston will get $1.79 Million. The funds will be used to improve sidewalks in the community. The Federal program awards funds designated for projects on trails, sidewalks and Americans with Disabilities improvements to sidewalks. These funds were set aside by congress.
