Two men were arrested on theft charges Wednesday and one man attacked an officer who was arresting him. 29 Year old Phillip Morris of Batesville and 62 year old Michael John Myer of Smithville were both arrested for the Theft of 20 kegs of railroad spikes from the Missouri North Arkansas Railroad. Both men are charged with theft by receiving, Morris also faces charges of second degree battery and resisting arrest. Myer’s bond was set at $5,000, Morris bond was set at $50,000.
