College Basketball Scores This Past Weekend

Jarred Dixon’s two-handed heave from half court as time expired found its mark, lifting Missouri State past visiting Illinois State, 66-65, here Sunday in a thrilling Missouri Valley Conference victory for the Bears.

 

 

Javan Johnson matched his career high with 20 points as Troy narrowly beat Arkansas State 84-79 on Saturday. Ty Cockfield II had 27 points for the Red Wolves (10-14, 4-7). J.J. Matthews added 15 points. Canberk Kus had 11 points.

 

 

Freshman A.J. Lawson scored 24 points and fellow freshman Keyshawn Bryant added 17 as South Carolina beat Arkansas 77-65 on Saturday.

Jalen Harris led Arkansas with 17 points, while Mason Jones added 15 points. Daniel Gafford scored eight points, his lowest output of the season.

 

 

Wendell Mitchell scored 20 points to help Texas A&M erase a 12-point, second-half deficit and beat Missouri 68-59 on Saturday.  Javon Pickett led Missouri (11-11, 2-8) with 15 points, and Torrence Watson and Jordan Geist each scored 12. Junior forward Reed Nikko, making his first career start, finished with a season-high eight points.

 

 

 

The Missouri State Wesr Plains Grizzlies win their homecoming game Saturday beating Three Rivers 114-101, Eric Lovett led the Grizzlies with 29 points and Sadaar Calhoun added 22. The Grizzlies improve to 18-8 on the season and 4-1 in conference play. Next up is a game against State Fair CC on Wednesday.
