Thayer City Council Met Last Week

The Thayer City Council met last Tuesday for their regular monthly meeting. The recent election results were accepted by the council and those elected were sworn into office.  City Clerk Chantelle Allison was re-appointed. Jennifer Crask and Justin Nelson were both appointed as City Attorney’s, the two will work together until Crask steps down soon.  Daryl Childers was re-appointed Chief Of Police. Mark Arnold was re-appointed Fire Chief/EMA Director. Alderman Stephen Clark was elected Mayor Pro-Tem by the Council. Janice Tolar was re-appointed as treasurer,  There was some discussion about a Farmer’s Market and possible location in Thayer, the discussion was positive but no action was taken.  The Council approved a request to send court clerk Brent Collins to the annual MACA Conference in Tan Tara. The Council also denied a request from the Koshkonong Mayor of a police officer and patrol car use for the city of Koshkonong. The Council also agreed to accept Bids for two retired city vehicles and the City Hay pastures until a special called meeting April 25th at 7pm.  The City Council meets the second Tuesday of every month at City Hall
