A Texas County man has been arrested for child abuse. 29 year old Willie Thornton of Cabool was arrested after a Missouri Division of Family Services investigator called the sheriff’s department for assistance at a residence on Yukon Road in Raymondville. The investigator told police that while they were checking on 6 children at the home a large handprint was noticed on the face of a 4 year old boy. The boy’s eye was black and his face displayed bruising. During questioning Thornton allegedly admitted to slapping te boy. Thornton is charged with abuse or neglect of a cchild-serious emotional or physical injury. HE is being held on $350,000 bond
