Tornado Touched Down Near Theodosia Tuesday

Strong storms moved across Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas Tuesday night and we continue to hear reports of damage from the storms. The national weather service has now confirmed that a tornado hit near Theodosia around the Ozark and Taney County line. The Tornado was a EF1 and packed winds of 100 MPH, it was on the ground for nearly five minutes. The tornado damaged numerous trees and outbuildings.

Douglas county has hit hard with several storms and heavy rain. In Ava we get reports that am oak tree fell on the Star Chapel Church causing a lot of damage. There were about 7 other trees around the church that were uprooted and fell.  The Clean-up has began.

Wright County there were reports of damage to homes in the Hartville area and several trees and power lines down.
