The Mammoth Spring Lady Bears have advanced to the quarter-final round of the 1A State Championship in Morrilton. Mammoth Spring jumped Ouachita early, then cruised to a 85-67 win. Whitlee Layne lead 4 Lady Bears in double figures with 27. Mammoth Spring will play Kirby in the quarter-finals Friday at 1:00 at Morrilton High School.
The Thayer Bobcats ended their season in the sectional round of the Missouri state basketball tournament, losing to Hartville 37-25. Ayden Stone had 10 for the Bobcats who finish with a record of 25-5.
