A 3 year old was killed in a logging accident yesterday in Izard county. The sheriff’s Department reports that around 2:37 Monday afternoon they received a report that a 3 year old boy had been run over by a tractor on property on Knob Creek Road in Melbourne. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and began life saving efforts. The boy was pronounced deceased a short time later. The boy’s name is not being released at this time pending the notification of family. The case is under investigation by the Izard County Sheriff’s Department.
