The St. Louis Cardinals lost a heartbreaker last night on Sunday night baseball, wasting a great performance by pitcher Jack Flaherty. The Cards closer, Jordan Hicks blew another save, giving up a 3-0 lead in the 9th, and the Atlanta Braves scored the go ahead and wining run in the 10th as the Cardinals lost 2 of 3 to the Braves at Busch Stadium.
St. Louis will have a day off today.
The Kansas City Royals avoided a sweep at home on Sunday with a 8-7win over the New York Yankees in 10 innings. The Royals win also stops a 7 game winning streak for the Yankees.
KC will open a series with the White Sox in Chicago today
