Flooding Continues in Missouri and Arkansas

Recent rains have continued to ad to the flooding issues in Missouri and Arkansas over recent weeks, and rivers are still on the rise in both states.  Latest reports show over 300 roads closed due to flooding in Missouri, and officials say flooding along the Mississippi appears to be the worst since the “great flood of 1993”.  The Arkansas River is at record levels and still rising.  Speaking in Arkansas yesterday, Gov. Asa Hutchinson said 16 state agencies are working on flood efforts, with 12 highways in the state closed and over 400 homes evacuated.  He also issued a 2nd emergency order, increasing funding another $350-thousand.
