A Stone County Arkansas couple have been arrested for allegedly severely beating a man with a rock. According to reports, deputies went to a residence near the Round Mountain Community for a reported assault. Deputies found a man beaten nearly unconscious. The victim and a witness identified 35 year old Larry Hunter as the one that beat him. The witness also told deputies that Hunter’s girlfriend 35 year old Amanda Wallis was driving a four-wheeler with Hunter on it and pulled into the yard of the victim and Hunter got off and got the victim on the ground and starting beating him with a large rock. Hunter and Wallis then left on the four-wheeler. Both Hunter and Wallis are facing felony first degree battery charges. Wallis charged as an accomplice in the assault. Hunter is expected to also be charged as an habitual offender. Bond was set at $25,000 for Wallis and $50,000 for Hunter.
