A man from Pocahontas has been arrested on child pornography and assault charges. Daniel Wayne Honeycutt was arrested after authorities were told by a girl’s parents that he had sent threats on social media. While they were investigating the claims, they discovered Honeycutt had sent several explicit photos with a an underage female. Honeycutt has been charged with 30 counts of computer child pornography, 30 counts of computer exploitation of a child, 30 counts of possessing or viewing sexually explicit conduct involving a child, promoting a sexual performance by a child, aggravated assault and second degree battery. He is being held on $50,000 bond and will be in court next week.
