Strong Storms moved across northern Arkansas and Southern Missouri Sunday afternoon knocking out power and knocking trees down. One of the hardest hit areas was West Plains, where they reported several trees and power lines down. Grace avenue and Simpson Street were closed for a while because of wind damage. several other streets had trees and tree limbs across then as well. The sign at Wendy’s in West Plains was damaged and one of the covers on materials at Meek’s was blown down. Power was out in several areas around West Plains for a long period of time on Sunday and some of the stoplights in town were not working. Other parts of north central Arkansas and South Central Missouri also are reporting trees and power lines down. At this time we have no reports of any injuries because of the storms.
