Several Thayer residents were injured in a two vehicle accident yesterday afternoon in Collins MO, about 150 miles W/NW of Thayer. According to the St Clair County HP, 61 yr old Jerry W Wyatt of Thayer was driving west when he attempted to turn onto MO 13 in Collins when he attempted to turn onto MO 13 failing to yield to a northbound vehicle driven by 60 yr old John Gaunt of Kansas City, KS. Wyatt received serious injuries as well as 56 yr old Debbie Gaunt, the wife of the KS driver. Jerry Wyatt was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Two other occupants in the Wyatt vehicle were injuries and were also transported to Mercy. 57 yr old Christine Wyatt and 18 yr old Dakota K Wyatt each received minor injuries. Both occupants in the Gaunt vehicle were taken to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital for treatment.
4 Willow Springs teens were involved in a one vehicle crash Saturday night just after 10. 19 yr old Aamir Tisekar was driving south on CR 5470 four miles west of Pomona when his Jeep Liberty ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree. 3 occupants, including the driver received minor injuries, but a 4th was seriously injured. 17 yr old Curtis J Lovan was taken by ambulance to OMC for treatment. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
40 yr old Teressa R Shriver of Houston, MO was seriously injured Saturday just after noon when her Ford Explorer ran off the road and overturned ejecting her. Shriver was northbound on RT Double D south of Houston. a 2 yr old girl in the vehicle received minor injures. According to MSHP, the child was not in a carseat or a seatbelt. She was taken by private vehicle to TX Co Memorial Hospital. Teressa Shriver was taken by Air Evac to Cox South in Springfield.
A 35 yr old Farmington, MO man was injured Saturday evening 1 miles west of Eminence when the Polaris RZR UTV he was a passenger in traveled off the right side of CR 305 hitting a tree and turning over. Kiley L Wadlow was transported by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis with serious injuries. The driver of the UTV, 38 yr old Christopher M Williams of Park Hills, MO was not injured. He was reported to have been wearing a safety device.
