Three people were injured in a two vehicle accident Monday morning in Douglas County. The Highway Patrol reports that 42 year old Cherii Newark of Norwood was attempting to pull out of a driveway and was hit by a vehicle driven by 73 year old Roy Byerly of Rogersville. Newark suffered serious injuries, Janice Byerly suffered moderate injuries and Roy Byerly suffered minor injuries. Both Newark and Joyce Byerly were taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The accident happened on Mo 14 about 7 miles east of Ava.
