The Kansas City Royals were pounded by Oakland Monday losing 19-4. The Royals even let their gold glove outfielder Alex Gorden pitch for the first time in the big leagues. Gorden went 1 and third innings giving up 3 runs on 5 hits. Kansas City will host Oakland again tonight, Mike Montgomery starts for the Royals.
